Drawn South

Our founders Emma and Olivia spent years exploring and living in Latin America. Our curiosities took us from the high Andes to the coastline, and everything in between.

Over the years, we have found ourselves returning at every opportunity. We spent our early years traveling by bus and car, allowing us to watch landscapes unfold slowly, rather than fly to superlative locations, missing the gems in-between.

Our start in travel

We both found our way into the travel industry and connected instantly over our shared interests, travel histories, and perspective on the industry as a whole.

We spent years working in tandem, advocating for trusted country partners and hotels, creating FAM trips and marketing campaigns built around destinations yet to be widely discovered. Through genuine enthusiasm and a lot of education, we worked hard to urge our clients further off the beaten path and away from mainstream tourist routes.

What we noticed

We kept seeing the same patterns repeated. The same destinations promoted. The same itineraries copied. The same hotels booked. With every passing season, over-tourism spiraled in all of the same places.

Meanwhile we noticed that some of our favorite places were overlooked; not because they lacked appeal, but because the industry lacked context. Our trips south were spent connecting with boutique hoteliers, sharing a meal and a bottle of wine, laying the groundwork to introduce these remarkable, hidden gems to the wider travel world.

Our approach

For a decade, we've dedicated ourselves to the Latin America travel industry, continuously sharing insights, client feedback, and developing valuable educational resources.

This foundation led us to create Cabra Collection. We partner with boutique hotels and DMCs across Latin America to ensure they connect with the right buyers. We empower travel advisors and tour operators by sharing our knowledge and providing the tools they need to sell Latin America with more nuance, confidence, and care.
